The undeserved "halo" given to NGOs
Fascinating explanation of the "halo" effect given to unaccountable NGO's by Governments (and others) which fund them and whose reports are regurgitated by journalists as if credible news.

Many if not all of the LGBTQ++ reports produced here are anonymous, self-selected responses such as Trinity College School of Nursing and Midwifery (!) on any "conversion practices" here, cited in Dáil last week.
Awaiting @barrymward's response re @genspect's analysis of said research.

"...23 responses to an anonymous online survey recruited via advocacy groups which may have influenced survey responses making the data susceptible to selection bias, recall bias and demand bias. Survey responses were self-reported and unverified."
Do you think journalists usually even read lengthy reports before writing something for their media outlet?
Keep in mind "Journalism is printing something that someone does not want printed. Everything else is public relations."
